it scanned a bit weird, and i think my scanner is dirty. you can see a little line around 9 o'clock on the print, right below the lowest branches on the first tree.

i thought 'film noir' when i read 'the big sleep', so i actually really liked the "dirty" tapering of the image in places, good (if accidental) effect

Snow. How delicious. Living here in a world without it is like living in a world suffering through insomnia and we inhabitants along with it. I would give much to see snow again. It has been almost 20 years...

haha, right on, right on. the effect is there on the original print, but the contrast was (almost extremely) emphasized by the scanner. glad you enjoyed it.
